In September 2010, Set & Drift curated and hosted Current at The Bakery in Barrio Logan, coinciding with the ART SAN DIEGO Contemporary Art Fair.
An exhibition of hand-crafted design, the show featured the West Coast debut of internationally acclaimed Seoul-based designer Kwangho Lee.
The furniture workshop of The Bakery underwent a temporary transformation to host Black Whale, a sculptural lighting installation knitted with power cords by Korean designer Kwangho Lee. Accompanying music in the gallery space was provided by Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman of The Silent Comedy.
The front studio was reimagined as a pop-up shop showcasing design objects by 9 designers and artists, including local designers alongside studios from Chicago and Los Angeles. Works by: Miki Iwasaki, Josh Higgins, Neko, Gabriel Salcedo, Casey Lurie, and Philipp Bosshart, Luxury Death Machine, and Cloven Hoof.
