Set & Drift presents Current
at The Bakery in Barrio Logan:
An exhibition of hand-crafted design, featuring the West Coast debut of internationally acclaimed designer Kwangho Lee, along with mercantile, a pop up shop showcasing design objects by 9 American designers and artists.
The furniture workshop of The Bakery will undergo a temporary transformation to host Kwangho Lee’s Black Whale, now en route from Seoul — a sculptural lighting installation knitted with power cords as his unconventional medium.
The studio space in the front of The Bakery will be reimagined as “MERCANTILE”, a pop-up shop showcasing a collection of limited edition hand-crafted objects by 9 American designers and artists; including furniture pieces, prints, and hand-stitched textiles. Works by: Miki Iwasaki, Josh Higgins, Neko, Gabriel Salcedo, Casey Lurie, and Philipp Bosshart, with custom denim by Luxury Death Machine, and jewelry by Cloven Hoof.
