Date: December 2009

Venue: Arclinea – San Diego, California

The Gingerbread Collective is a charity design event launched by Arclinea San Diego, a modern Italian kitchen design showroom. Featuring gingerbread houses designed by local architects, designers and artists, the three day event raised over $5,000 and gathered canned food for Second Chance, a worthy cause that provides job training and life skills to help folks get back on their feet.

Set & Drift assisted Arclinea with the event and identity design. We had a blast and got our hands dirty making gingerbread from scratch to create a bespoke typeface for the event identity (shown on the right).

We were honored to support Second Chance and provide creative assistance for an exhibition of some of our favorite local creatives, including mi-workshop, Hollis Brand Culture, Matt Devine, Studio Anderson and Boomerang for Modern.
