I’m a California girl who likes good music (especially that sweet soul music). “Songs in the Key of Sunshine” takes its inspiration from summer. Those lazy hazy crazy days of summer. Well, these songs mostly reflect the lazy and hazy days. Songs I want to listen to while sitting poolside or floating on an air mattress, carefree and with nowhere else to be. Laying on a blanket burying my feet in the sand. Enjoying picnics and BBQs in the park. Leisurely driving on a road trip to the desert or up and down the coast. Maxin’ and relaxin’. Songs that sound like a laid-back clear warm sunny day. Classic California postcard snapshots. Easy breezy sun-soaked landscapes.
