Found this when checking Banksy’s website this morning – the day of the Academy Awards ceremony where he is nominated in the Documentary category for Exit Through The Gift Shop. Good luck Banksy, but either way you’ve shook things up.

Fluf at the Casbah

Tonight was a good night. We got to see our friend Josh Higgins on stage with his band Fluf for the first time, rockin’ out in honor of Stimy at the Casbah.

Tons of musicians came out to the Casbah to honor Michael Steinman, a well-known singer in many San Diego bands, who recently passed away.

Mr. Higgins will be back at the Casbah on April 2, 2011, playing host rather than bass guitar. He’s organized an evening of design and music, showcasing the graphic work of Invisible Creature and tunes by The Black Heart Procession. Should be one helluva evening. Details

Surf to Street

Very excited to see some of our favorite local artists (Neko, Tocayo, Persue, Surge and others) in this group show. Neko introduced us to Kevin Peterson recently but we’re looking forward to seeing his work in person for the first time.

The show opens this Saturday at Green Flash art gallery/surf shop in majestic Cardiff, California (just across the tracks from the “Cardiff Kook“) – more info on the art show here.
